The ISTA’s size and sturdy structure accommodates files or shopping; the hand-felted bag is fully lined, with inside zip pocket, zip closure and tan brown real leather handles.
Options available: Mint/Grey, Denim Blue/Grey, - both full price quality stock £65
and Cream/Grey (only available as seconds at sale price) £29
The seconds in Cream/Grey is our remaining stock which has a slight orange tinge on one side of the bag (which is from the natural oils in the leather handle touching the cream felt when packed tightly for many months in our warehouse unfortunately!). We have tried to 'make do and mend' to remove this slight discolouration but unable to remove it completely. We do not want to waste the stock, so we are selling these at a minimal sale price.
The other side of the bag is in perfect condition, the faulty side can be concealed when worn against the body or will hopefully fade in time. The image shows both sides so these can be compared.
*If the option does not appear in the dropdown list, it is unfortunately out of stock.

Carefully hand-felted from 100% raw sheep wool with soap and water. The felt is made in sheets, dried in the sun on the workshop roof and then hand-stitched in the workshop. We only use azo-free dyes for our felt. Our leather is sourced from a small family tannery in Kolkata and road-freighted to Kathmandu in bulk, to be used for all our leather and suede products; all chemicals used in the process are contained and reprocessed within the water treatment facility on site.
Handmade by a small Nepalese workshop affiliated with the Nepal Leprosy Trust, who employ marginalised people, giving them opportunities through work. The felt is made in sheets or moulded round a wooden resist, dried in the sun on the workshop roof and then hand-stitched in the workshop. We have worked with the team for over ten years developing new products, improving skills and providing equipment for the workshop. As a World Fair Trade Organisation certified member, the workshop give their employees a fair living wage, health care benefits and monthly contributions to their children's school fees. To help increase work opportunities for the small felting team of women at the workshop, we developed a range of felted accessories including the ISTA tote, LILA purse and BUNNU basket.
