Handwoven in Kathmandu, this light summery scarf is airy and soft with a hand-screenprinted design, inspired by the Everest region and Mithila Art from the South of Nepal.
The design is inspired by the art of the Mithila women of South Nepal, who paint on their houses in bright colours during festivals, and whose creations then fade or wash away in the monsoon each year. The paintings are rooted in traditions which Mithila women have passed down through generations and depict scenes of daily life and festivals as well as Hindu gods and stories.
