Starting our hand-knitting orders for Autumn/Winter 2019 already!

It may only be February but we are already planning our AW19 knitwear production, with all our new colour options finalised in December.  Our main production will be confirmed soon so the yarns can be dyed, and Urmila and her team can start knitting our orders throughout the summer ready for delivery in August.  We stagger our delivery schedule so the women can have a regular flow of work throughout the season, until the last delivery in November.

Urmila is our master knitter who finalised all the samples with us, and she organises a group of 19 home-knitters who work remotely to fit around their family commitments. They use 4 metal needles for the circular items such as the RAJA wrist-warmers and HIRA neck-scarves. The hardest product to knit is the GUPTA fingerless gloves, only some of the women are able to knit these pieces!

The knitting ladies have been busy producing our new colour way for AW19 and we love how they've come out.  Below you can see our knits debuting the new range, including this gorgeous green mix pattern and the chunky cable knit in new mustard yellow and new earthy winter green - we can't wait to get these in the studio to try on ourselves and of course to release them to our customers in the Autumn.

All pieces are measured and checked against the factory sample to make sure they are the required size and length, especially for our S/M/L JANA and ANEKA slipper socks!

We have some of our knits on SALE on the website until 10th March!
