The multitonal cotton fabric is handwoven using several different coloured strands to produce the colour and texture effect. The subtle two tone effect means these fabrics look slightly different in different lights - and can disguise a bit of the rough and tumble of everyday use! Nepal has a very waste-conscious culture, and this product brings to life small quantities of surplus fabrics that might in some societies be discarded. Handmade by artisans within a World Fair Trade Organization certified collective in Kathmandu, Nepal. These products are hand stitched in the WFTO member workshop which employs over 25 women, giving them opportunities through work.
