About the seaglass aqua colourway

This seaglass aqua colourway is fresh, bright and full of character — lighter than navy, clearer than teal, and close to a turquoise blue shade. It brings a cheerful, coastal touch to an everyday house slipper without feeling overly bright or novelty.

Fit and sizing

The MITA blue felted wool slippers are made to accurate EU sizing. Because the felt is shrunk around foot-shaped moulds, also known as lasts, the internal measurements are consistent from pair to pair.

We recommend choosing your EU size as the main reference rather than relying only on UK sizing. UK shoe sizes can vary between men’s and women’s shoes and are converted inconsistently across brands, while EU sizing is more reliable and does not differ between men and women.

Foot length is the most important measurement when choosing your slipper size. If you are between sizes or in any doubt, we recommend sizing up. A little wiggle room is helpful in wool slippers, and it also helps protect their lifespan. If your big toe rubs at the front, or if your heel presses against the back wall of the slipper, this can cause unnecessary wear over time.

The felted wool will gently mould to the wearer’s feet with use. When brand new, the slippers may feel snug at the sides, while the area above the foot may have a small “bubble” of space. As they are worn, the felt gradually adapts to the shape and width of the foot, gently hugging the top without needing to be stretched.

If you have a high instep or larger instep girth, we especially recommend sizing up in the MITA mules. A high instep can prevent the foot from reaching the full length of the slipper, so choosing the next size up gives more room across the instep and helps avoid pressure at the front or heel.

Why choose felted wool slippers?

Wool is one of the best natural materials for slippers. It is naturally insulating, helping to keep feet warm, while remaining breathable enough for everyday indoor wear. Unlike many synthetic fluffy slippers, felted wool helps reduce clamminess and resists odours thanks to its natural antibacterial properties.

Our felted wool slippers are carefully hand-felted using 100% raw sheep wool, soap and water. The wool is mulesing-free, renewable and biodegradable, and our coloured slippers are made using azo-free dyes. It is a thoughtful material choice for anyone who values comfort, natural fibres and more sustainable everyday pieces.

Comfort, shape and sole

The MITA mule shape is designed to be easy to slip on and off, making these blue wool slippers ideal for everyday use around the home. The inside sole padding adds comfort underfoot, while the structured felted wool gently holds its shape with wear.

The slip-on mule design gives the comfort of a house slipper with the easy, structured feel of a clog-style indoor shoe. Each pair is finished with a hardwearing natural buffalo suede sole, beautifully stitched into place for a more durable slipper.

These slippers are best worn indoors and should be kept away from wet outdoor surfaces.

The suede is sourced from a small family tannery in Kolkata and road-freighted to Kathmandu in bulk for AURA QUE’s leather and suede products. Chemicals used in the tanning process are contained and reprocessed through the tannery’s on-site water treatment facility.

Handmade in Nepal

Each pair of MITA slippers is hand-felted by a women’s co-operative in the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal. AURA QUE has worked with this group since 2013, building a long-standing relationship rooted in skilled craft, considered production and beautiful handmade detail.

The slippers are made using raw sheep wool, soap and water. Each piece is shaped around a reusable resist mould, then felted again around a reusable EU size last to create a consistent shoe size. The slippers are dried in the sun before the suede sole is machine-stitched into place.

As with all AURA QUE products, each pair is individually handcrafted, so small variations are part of its unique charm.

Spot clean gently with a damp cloth. Do not submerge in water. A suede brush may be useful for refreshing the soles.

UK orders under £60 are sent by Royal Mail Tracked 48 for £3.95. UK orders of £60 and over qualify for free standard delivery. Express UK delivery is available by Royal Mail Tracked 24 for £6.95.

International orders are sent from the UK by Royal Mail International Tracked. Delivery to Europe is £12, and delivery to listed Rest of World destinations is £15. Please note that international customers are responsible for any local tax, duty or customs charges that may apply, including EU destinations.

If your order has not arrived as expected, please check the tracking link sent directly by email from our shipping provider. If you need help with a delivery issue, please contact sales@auraque.com  for a personal response.

If for any reason you are not entirely happy, unused items can be returned in their original packaging within 28 days of receiving your order. Please email sales@auraque.com before returning your item so we can issue a Returns Authorisation Code and help process your return efficiently.
